Throughout the production process, efforts are made to minimize the carbon footprint, resulting in a significantly smaller environmental impact compared to conventional products. The shirt is certified with GOTS, OEKO-TEX, PETA VEGAN, and FAIR WEAR certifications, ensuring its supreme comfort on the skin.

The printing uses environmentally friendly water-based ink, free from harmful chemicals, solvents, or plastic compounds, yet remains durable. It's a VEGAN ink, certified by GOTS.

The t-shirt, made from 100% organic cotton, features a unisex cut, offering durability and a pleasantly soft feel.

The badger emerged as a symbol for Uitama for several reasons. Karolin, the designer of the shirt, searched extensively for an artistic motif that would resonate with Uitama's values and essence. She was inspired by Mihkel Mutt's novel "Mägrad hernes" ("Badgers and Peas"), which highlighted the shared characteristics between Estonians and badgers: a calm demeanour, appreciation for trustworthiness and practicality, and a fair bit of resilience. And let's not forget their incredibly charming appearance!

Furthermore, the badger symbolizes transformation in Eastern mythologies. In Japanese folklore, for example, the badger is known as "mujina," capable of shape-shifting or transitioning between different states – mirroring Uitama's mission to guide families into nature, shifting them from the stresses of daily life to a state of tranquillity and relaxation.

Inspired by all of this, the BADGER t-shirt was born.

Care Instructions

The shirt features a premium and enduring silk screen printing method. And with proper care, it's sure to last for an extended period:

  • When washing the T-shirt, we recommend turning it inside out.
  • Wash the T-shirt at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius.
  • We do not recommend ironing the printed surface directly. When ironing, turn the T-shirt inside out and place a protective cloth underneath. Ironing can pressure the fabric due to the seams, potentially leaving creases.
  • If possible, use environmentally friendly detergents.
